Risk assessment models

Chemical plants which store and process chemicals present a risk to their neighborhood. Two main parameters are used to evaluate the risk: The consequence and the probability.
The consequence is calculated using well established models while the probability is based on similar events that happened around the world.
What are the consequences of the risk assessment studies:

  1. Management and employees learn to appreciate the risk of their activities and to understand how to reduce the probability of such events.
  2. The employees are trained and organized for disaster based on the survey.

The main tools used in assessing risk are mathematical models developed worldwide and adopted by the authorities.
This theme is a dynamic subject constantly evolving and we are following developments and acquire the necessary models. Our work is accepted by the authorities.
