Emission permits

Under the Israeli Clean Air Act which was promulgated in 2009,
a list of companies and industries is presented which had to obtain an emission permit. Large plants are required to obtain emission permits in order to be able to continue operations. Emission permits are based on best available technologies economically feasible. As part of the plant permit application, its must meet the IPPC defined best available technology (BAT) and meet emission standards set by the European Community.
The permit is for all activities which emit air pollutants. Today there are approximately – 250 large enterprises on the list, which are required to obtain a permit and to renew it every seven years. The regulations which are part of the law list the factories by sectors so as to implement the law during the first coming five years.
We carry out the surveys required when submitting a request for an emission permit and advise on the technical aspects of the Clean Air Act.
